Sontang Project and Northern Sumatra Tenements (100%)

Mineralisation at the Sontang gold, silver and base Project covers more than a 150 metre strike length to a depth of 75 metres.

A 2,017 metre scout drilling program completed in early 2011 obtained significant results in East Sontang mantos, with a best intersection of 11.9 metres at 6.5 g/t gold, 33 g/t silver and 8.0 % zinc.

Sontang Project lies within the Pasaman IUP in the province of West Sumatra, some 160km north of Padang.

Covering 29,724 Ha of highly prospective ground, Sontang is a virgin high-grade polymetallic manto discovery by Sumatra’s geologists, found in ground previously explored by other companies.

Sumatra’s geologists followed up a float train discovered in drainage and located outcrops of massive base-metal sulphides. Hydrothermal alteration and mineralisation is dispersed over an area extending approximately 1.5 kilometres along strike.

Sontang is adjacent to the boundary with the province of North Sumatra, which hosts the advanced gold projects of Martabe (G - Resources) and Sihayo Gold (SIH).

Sumatra also has two smaller green fields but highly prospective IUP’s at Kotanopan and Mandailing, with known hard rock and geochemical gold and base metal anomalies adjacent to Sihayo Gold’s Contract of Work.

Sontang is held within an Exploration IUP, valid for six years, and is one of the first exploration licences to be granted under the New Minerals Law.
