Robert Gregory  B. Eng (Mining Engineering)

Chief Executive Officer

A qualified mining engineer with more than 30 years' experience in the mining industry, Robert Gregory’s expertise covers both underground and open pit mining as well as multiple commodities including gold, copper, nickel and coal. He has extensive international experience including Indonesia, the Philippines, China and Papua New Guinea.

Prior to joining Sumatra Copper & Gold, Mr Gregory was Chief Operating Officer at Medusa’s Philippines operations where he was instrumental in increasing underground productivity. He brings a structured and disciplined approach having worked in large operations such as Medusa’s Co-O mine, the Porgera gold mine in PNG (currently owned and operated by Barrick Gold Corporation) and the Granny Smith gold mine (currently owned and operated by Goldfields).

Mr Gregory holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) Honors from the University of NSW.

Adi Sjoekri Bsc Msc, MBA (Management)

Adi Sjoekri

Director of Government Liaison, Permitting and Forestry

Adi Sjoekri is an Indonesian National and graduated with degree and a Master of Science in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines in the USA. He completed his further education with an MBA in management at Monash University in Jakarta.

Mr Sjoekri has more than 17 years’ experience working for major companies such as CSR and Newmont throughout Indonesia and more recently as a successful consultant to the mining industry. He was instrumental in recognising the opportunity to acquire mineral tenements in Sumatra in 2006.
